Since 2015, we have raised over £250 million to invest in growth companies across North West England, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and North Wales.

We have three funds in the North West - Foresight Regional Investment Fund (FRIF), Foresight Regional Investment Fund III (FRIF III) and Foresight Regional Investment Fund VIII (FRIF VIII) - to support the growth of small and medium sized companies across the region, creating jobs and supporting communities.

What is the Foresight Regional Investment Fund VIII?

Achieving £90 million at first close in October 2025, the Foresight Regional Investment Fund VIII is cornerstoned by Greater Manchester Pension Fund, with support from Clwyd and Merseyside Pension Funds. This fund will provide flexible equity investments ranging from £1 million to £15 million investing across all sectors and transaction types.

Foresight Regional Investment Funds I and III (FRIF and FRIF III)

The £58 million Foresight Regional Investment Fund (FRIF) is now in realisation phase. The £110m million Foresight Regional Investment Fund III (FRIF III) supports and partners with growth companies. FRIF III is cornerstoned by Greater Manchester Pension Fund, with support from Clwyd and Merseyside Pension Funds.
