  • Foresight exits Plantexpand, a leading East of England provider of outsourced maintenance, compliance and asset management services for fleet vehicles and specialist plant equipment, to Premius Capital.
  • The transaction delivers a more than 3x return on invested capital for the Foresight East of England Fund.
  • The fifth successful exit for Foresight in 2026, and follows the recent announcement of the exit of Beckett Investment Management Limited, also from the Foresight East of England Fund.
  • During the investment period, Plantexpand increased headcount by more than 300%, broadened its senior management team and board, and delivered material revenue growth through service expansion and new customer contracts.
  • Premius Capital will support the next phase of growth, building on Plantexpand's national service platform, customer relationships and proprietary technology platform.

Cambridge, 24 August 2026: Foresight Group ("Foresight"), a leading regional private equity and real assets manager, announces the successful sale of Plantexpand ("the Company") to Premius Capital.

The transaction generates a return of more than 3x invested capital for the Foresight East of England Fund and is Foresight's fifth successful exit of 2026 following the exits of FIS Chemicals, TES Group, Fieldway and Beckett Investment Management Group.

Founded in 1987 and based in the East of England, Plantexpand is a leading independent provider of outsourced maintenance, statutory compliance and asset management solutions for fleet vehicles and specialist plant equipment. The business supports a blue-chip customer base operating across critical infrastructure sectors, including utilities, telecommunications, transport and public sector services. Through its nationwide network of mobile engineers and workshops, together with its proprietary software platform, the Company helps customers maximise asset uptime, maintain regulatory compliance and reduce whole-life operating costs.

During the investment period, Plantexpand delivered substantial operational and commercial growth, transforming from a regional specialist maintenance provider into a scaled, technology-enabled partner to customers operating critical infrastructure assets across the UK. Headcount increased by more than 300%, supporting the Company's expanding national footprint and growing blue-chip customer base.

Foresight worked closely with management to professionalise the business, including helping recruit and strengthen the senior leadership team and introducing key board members, including Chair Tod Harrison, CEO David Harris and CFO Dan Dickinson. The Company also delivered material revenue growth through the expansion of its service offering, continued investment in technology and the addition of new customer contracts across the utilities, telecommunications, infrastructure and public sectors.

These initiatives have created a highly scalable business characterised by recurring revenues, long-standing customer relationships and strong operational performance. The management team has successfully executed a strategy focused on delivering exceptional service to customers operating business-critical assets, whilst continuing to invest in people, systems and technology.

The successful exit highlights Foresight's continued ability to identify, support and realise value from growing regional businesses. Through close partnership with management teams, access to long-term growth capital and a focus on sustainable value creation, Foresight continues to back businesses that play an important role within the UK economy.

Tod Harrison, Non-Executive Chair of Plantexpand shared: "Foresight has been a supportive and constructive partner throughout our growth journey. Their backing has enabled us to invest in the business, strengthen our platform and continue delivering exceptional service to our customers. We are proud of what we have achieved together and are excited to begin the next stage of our journey with Premius Capital."

David Miles, Managing Director at Foresight Group commented: “Plantexpand has developed into a highly attractive, technology-enabled business serving critical infrastructure customers across the UK. We are proud to have partnered with the team and supported the business through a period of strong growth, whilst helping to keep the UK’s infrastructure operational and creating high quality jobs.

We are delighted to have delivered a return of over 3x for our investors and we thank the management team for their hard work and wish them every success with Premius Capital.”

Greg Mackin, Co-Founder at Premius Capital said: "We have been hugely impressed by what the Plantexpand team has built - a customer-centric, technology-led business that has become the partner of choice for some of the UK's most critical infrastructure operators. The growth delivered over the last five years, from headcount to revenue to the continued development of the PAMS platform, is a testament to the quality and dedication of the organisation.

We are delighted to be partnering with them as they enter this exciting new chapter, and we look forward to supporting Plantexpand's continued national expansion and the next stage of its growth story."
