Foresight Group (“Foresight”), a leading regional private equity and real assets manager, is pleased to announce an investment into Alan Wood & Partners (the “Company”), a long established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy headquartered in Hull, East Yorkshire.

Founded in 1968, Alan Wood & Partners has grown to become a leading provider of civil and structural engineering consultancy services delivering civil engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering, building consultancy and project management services. The firm operates from seven regional offices, including Leeds, Sheffield, York and Scarborough, and employs 100+ skilled technical staff, servicing clients across commercial, residential, industrial, health, education, infrastructure and heritage sectors.

Over nearly six decades, Alan Wood & Partners has built a reputation for technical excellence, innovation, and delivery of complex engineering solutions, supported by strong multidisciplinary teams and a culture of collaboration. The Company has played a key role in major construction and infrastructure projects across the region and beyond, helping shape the built environment through practical, cost effective design solutions.

Foresight’s investment will support the Company’s next phase of growth by expanding its footprint across the UK, including a recently opened office in Teesside, strengthening its service lines in high growth areas such as infrastructure, modern methods of construction and renewable energy, enhancing digital engineering capabilities, and developing talent pipelines across its offices. This reflects Foresight’s commitment to backing established, ambitious regional businesses with strong fundamentals, long term growth potential and a meaningful impact on local economies.
