Foresight expands Irish private equity team with Andrew McGreal hire

Foresight Group (“Foresight”) has announced the appointment of Andrew McGreal as Senior Investment Manager, based in its Dublin office.

Andrew brings over 12 years’ deal experience and joins Foresight from BVP, where he focused on venture and growth equity investments across health, climate and technology sectors. Andrew joins Foresight at a time of continued momentum across its Irish private equity team, which focuses on backing established, ambitious small and medium-sized companies across Ireland and Northern Ireland, working closely with PE colleagues in Foresight's 11 offices across Ireland and the UK. 

From Dublin, Foresight manages the AIB Foresight SME Fund, a €68 million fund providing growth capital to local businesses, typically investing between €2 million and €10 million per transaction. To date, the fund has invested almost €30 million into six companies, across a range of sectors and transaction types throughout the Island of Ireland. Andrew’s appointment further strengthens Foresight’s on the ground presence in Ireland as it continues to deploy capital into growing businesses across the Island.  

This builds on Foresight’s established track record across the Island of Ireland, including its recent €4.0m million investment into Northern Ireland nursery group Little Rays in December, supporting succession planning and the company’s next phase of growth.
