The Foresight Inheritance Tax Solution ("ITS") uses the benefits of Business Relief (BR) to enhance the likelihood of effective IHT mitigation, offering a straightforward approach to estate planning
Foresight has made investments in sustainable agriculture, including greenhouse projects and land-based sustainable aquaculture farms.
The sustainable agriculture market is growing rapidly, driven by factors such as climate change, food security, and increasing consumer demand for organic and locally sourced products1.
Foresight ITS has identified and invested in sustainable agriculture projects that align with its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria, aiming to generate both financial returns and positive impact.
Rjukan Fish Farm, located in the Telemark region of Norway, is an on-land trout farming facility using recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) technology.
Foresight ITS has invested in this project to support sustainable fish farming practices with RAS technology allowing for efficient water use, with 99.3% of the water2 being recycled. The facility also uses waste heat from nearby data centres to warm the building, making it highly energy efficient.
Rjukan Fish Farm aims to produce 9,000 tonnes of trout annually, contributing to sustainable food production and reducing environmental impact.
The revenues will be primarily generated from the production of c.9,000 tonnes of trout per year, once the site is fully ramped up in 20253.
The project has the ability to raise its prices in response to rising costs without losing customers or lowering its profit margins. This is often due to unique advantages like a strong brand, competitive positioning, or market demand that allows it to pass on increased costs to customers without a significant drop in sales.
Rjukan adheres to sustainable aquaculture practices and aims to achieve zero-emission transportation for feed and fish.
The RAS technology significantly reduces water consumption and waste, while the use of waste heat and hydrogen trucks lowers carbon emissions.
The project supports local communities by providing fresh, locally sourced fish and creating job opportunities.
The financial sustainability of Rjukan is supported by its innovative approach to aquaculture, attracting investment and enabling it to scale its operations.
