This short series hosted by Head of People, Suzie Ruffley, and Foresight’s leadership coach, Dr Alex Morris, will focus on some of the theories around wellbeing and discusses practical advice on how to actually be well, in the context of the workplace and the Covid-19 pandemic.
In our first episode, Lack of Human Interaction, the pair articulate what is meant by ‘wellbeing’ and explore some of the realities of wellbeing during these uncertain times. A fundamental cornerstone of human wellbeing is human interaction, and there have been various measures in place which have affected this throughout the pandemic.
Some of the key questions that this podcast answers include:
- What is wellbeing?
- What impact does uncertainty have on people?
- What do we know about the impact human interaction has on wellbeing?
- What should colleagues and line managers consider now in terms of interaction?
The coronavirus outbreak has thrown many of us into new work habits and social routines, as we distance ourselves from our friends, family and colleagues whilst adapting to 'business-not-quite-as-usual', it is very easy to overlook our own mental and physical wellbeing. There are simple steps we can take to improve mental wellbeing and it should certainly be discussed openly.
The podcast is available to listen to here, please do give it a listen, comment and let us know what you think.
If any of the themes particularly resonate with you and you would like to discuss anything further, please don't hesitate to get in touch with Foresight's HR team on HR@ForesightGroup.eu.
