Foresight Signs Joint Statement to Safeguard the EU’s Sustainable Finance Framework

We are proud to have signed the joint statement to Safeguard the EU’s Sustainable Finance Framework, as issued by the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC), Eurosif, and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), alongside other key stakeholders.

Our investments play an important role in reducing the world’s carbon emissions, improving social infrastructure for businesses and communities, and supporting the long‑term growth of ambitious companies, and we are therefore committed to building strong sustainability practices.

We are proud to share that we have signed the joint statement issued by the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC), Eurosif, and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), alongside other key stakeholders. This initiative calls on the European Commission to protect the integrity of the EU’s sustainable finance framework amidst discussions around potential omnibus legislation.

The EU Taxonomy, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) are pillars in accelerating Europe’s journey toward a competitive, equitable, and net-zero economy. These regulations support investors with the high-quality, sustainability data they need to manage risks, identify opportunities, and direct capital toward climate solutions and high-growth sectors.

Foresight supports efforts to streamline these regulations so long as their high ambition and core requirements remain upheld.

By signing this statement, we underscore our commitment to:

  • Advocating for long-term policy stability that enables businesses to transition smoothly and decisively to sustainable practices.
  • Supporting transparency and robust reporting frameworks, essential for guiding investment decisions that drive decarbonisation and climate resilience.
  • Championing initiatives like the Clean Industrial Deal, which help bridge Europe’s annual investment gap of €750–800 billion to meet net-zero targets.

As stewards of capital in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, we believe that clear, actionable policies are crucial to achieving global sustainability goals.
